Did you know that more than 80% of the population suffer from low back pain at some time during their life? It is one of the most common reasons why people take time off work. Acute back pain can make daily life difficult and sufferers often become inactive to avoid pain. However, it has been shown that regular exercise can be beneficial.
I hold a Level 4 Certificate in Exercise for the Management of Low Back Pain; a high level qualification that provides the key skills and knowledge required to deliver and design progressive exercise programmes for clients with low back pain. This allows me to understand low back pain and related issues such as postural problems, range of movement, muscle imbalances and psychological barriers. I feel this qualification compliments my role as a Biomechanics Coach and do believe that simply helping people move more easily will have a large positive impact on their life.
